Overheard...

...at a Musicland DVD stall yesterday, a girl telling her boyfriend, "Oh please ya, not Pearl Harbor. It's too intellectual-types!"

  1. I'll bet that was a massive face-palm moment.

  3. Yes. The part where they sleep together in the parachute hangar is particularly high-brow.

  4. Were you visiting Musicland to buy DVDs or to eavesdrop on conversations for such 'intellectual-type' blogposts :p

  5. This happened to me a while ago.

I was at a bookstore in Delhi when the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen walked in. She walked straight towards the Indian authors shelf where I was standing. She looked through the books, occasionally taking one out of the shelf and reading the back page and replacing it. She was judging the book by its cover - just like me. It was clear that she was looking for something in particular. For some reason, she asked me.

"Hey, have you seen that Abhijit Sawant book around?"

  7. I once heard in a Bombay bookstore.. Man to his wife from across the book store: "Darling, Shakespeare le le kya?"
I wonder what rate per kilo poor Shakespeare was going that day.
