At the Metro construction site in Saket. Not sure what it means but it sounds profound in an awkward sort of way.
Those boards you see towards the left contain elaborately detailed commandments - lists of dos and don'ts - for the construction workers. Very impressive stuff, such as "Kindly do not accept drugs and alcohol from strange persons".
Still a welcome change from celebrities telling me that spending money on things harmful for me is the way to being cool!
ReplyDeleteWonder if all the construction workers can read English
ReplyDeleteWonder if the construction workers can actually read those commandments!
ReplyDeleteYes, they're right ! And to think they drowned so much of the tax payers money on family planning.
ReplyDeleteI liked your blog and i think that this will work more easily
ReplyDeleteI came, I saw, I liked.
ReplyDeleteI think that says it all.
Your post reminded me of the cheesy one or two liners that are put up ostensibly to promote road safety all over India. The best ones by a mile used to be those painted on boulders adjoining moutain roads. My favourite one was "Savdhani hati, durghatna ghati" for its sheer sparse meaningful lyricism!!
ReplyDeleteDo not entrain or detrain a moving train. That's gold!
ReplyDeleteNot unlike Yogi Berra quotes (which you can find here http://www.rinkworks.com/said/yogiberra.shtml) - over a couple of reads, it makes complete sense in a rather strange way...
