Steve Waugh’s 800-page autobiography...

...spanking new, gorgeously green, weighing a ton, has just arrived at my desk. I’ve been very sad the last few days because I had to pass up on this event (which I couldn’t plan for because of the London trip) - but now I’m happy again, as the poet said.

This book (Out of My Comfort Zone) really is massive and I’ve spent the last hour turning it over in my hands and studying it from all angles (this sounds foolish but it’s very good exercise). And anyone who knows about Waugh’s career-long habit of maintaining tour diaries will know this should be one of those rare cricketers’ autoBs that isn’t ghost-written. Much fun ahead.

  3. I hope it is good. I know S will buy it and I'll get to read it. I read 'Sometimes I forget to Laugh' by Peter Roebuck couple of weeks back. I liked it.

  9. Hey i was a very big fan of steve waugh until i read this book.B coz most of the incidents steve wrote about India were in a very bad taste. He made a mockery abt India when it was in testing times abt the kind of enviromnet in which we were living. So I suggest ppl not to read this book. This is how ppl look for excuses when they cannot achieve something they really wanted to.India was the only place where he was not able to register a Test series win. This might be the reason for Waugh's disliking towards India.
