Interesting link on Cricinfo: Mukul Kesavan on the modern history of Indian batting in the light of Wisden Asia’s list of 25 Best Test Innings by Indian Batsmen. I’ve held a bit of a grudge against Kesavan, mainly because (here I go again) he’s been uncharitable to Tendulkar in previous writings. But this is a very readable piece, and finally - FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY - here’s someone else making the point that great innings mustn’t be judged only by the match result.
